A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, which is the great trick behind this persuasive album, offering a serious argument with plenty of hot buttered soul.

It might not be miraculous, but The Next Logical Progression is certainly an inspired work.

The Next Logical Progression hardly iterates on the sometimes-Blackalicious member's craft, nor does it intend to. [#40, p.88]

The third solo, known from duo Blackalicious Gift Of Gab's album - "The Next Logical Progression" is a mix of alternative - hip-hop songs such as careless "Rise" or energetic and catchy "Toxic". On the album stands out also - based on an electronic backing "Beyond Logic" or the funky "So So Much." Album you'll listen with pleasure - a variety of styles makes it worth to come back. Expand
