At 72 minutes, it's quite the voyage--but please, don't remain in your seat at all times. [6 Oct 2012, p.53]

With The Parallax II: Future Sequence, Between the Buried and Me have managed to craft metal that's not just for metal heads, but will excite them just the same.
  3. Both daring and down right difficult to turn away, consider this among the band's finest work of their career thus far.

Rogers' guttural growls sound more menacing than ever, and what the album lacks in originality it makes up for with feverishly inventive riffs and melodies, making The Parallax II: Future Sequence the band's most inspired release since Alaska.

Parallax II may be the strongest 72 consecutive minutes they have put together so far. [Nov 2012, p.86]

This is whatEvery Time Between The Buried and Me release a new album, it's like Christmas. you know it's going to become something special. This is what this album defines. This has to be BTBAM's best work to date. It is also very different from there other albums. It's just such an amazing album that has to be in the top 5 of the year maybe even number 1. Everything about this album from first listen just blew me away. Tracks like "Lay Your Ghosts To Rest", "Melting City", and "The Silent Flight Parliament" are 10-15 minute progressive epics. Great vocal work from Tommy Rogers and the guitar work is just amazing. This album can best be described as one word...... EPIC!!!!!!!!!! Guys stop wasting your time and go check out one of progressive metal's finest band out there. This is a 10/10 for me and go support this band. Full Review »

I was expecting them to be a generic metalcore band or something like that. How wrong I was. Some songs go a little off course sometimes and drag on a little bit, but there are some amazing riffs there, and others different to what I'm used to listening to, in a good way. I highly doubt this will be the last album from the band that I will buy. My highlights of the album are Telos and Lay Your Ghosts To Rest. Full Review »

From the very beginning of the album you're hit with such a sense of emotion, and you're taken on a mind-blowing adventure both musically and through the story of The Parallax, which has been woven into Between the Buried and Me's album since 2003's 'The Silent Circus'. Absolutely outstanding. Full Review »
