If anything, it's darker [than Fenster's debut album], like clotted blood. [Apr 2014, p.97]
  2. 80
The songs are much more complex and nuanced than one might expect on first listen and, like most good music, it is an album that deserves deeper comprehension.

Ultimately, The Pink Caves has a haunting, surrealistic quality that, while melodic and song-based at times, also feels abstract and organic, as if these songs were not so much written by the band as cultivated as they grew out of the earth.

Creepy but beautiful. [Apr 2014, p.73]

There are unnerving, alone-in-the-forest atmospheres aplenty here. [Apr 2014, p.108]
