The Stoned Immaculate still has the hazy comfort-rap heart that made Curren$y an underground must in the first place.

The Stoned Immaculate is just Curren$y at a higher grade, if you will.

In the end, a few weak verses are easy to brush aside on an album this likable.

[The album] feels so different from his past catalog-in a generic, slightly unexciting way-that it's hard to celebrate as a listener. There are keen verses here, and the production generally deserves more than praise, but as a total package the most exciting pieces have nothing to do with the artist credited on the cover art.

  2. The thing that certainly that making rapper Curren$y standing out from the rest of the competition is that he's one of the few that are able to combine an interesting melody with a message without causing the aversion to the typical audience oriented slightly in cheesy hip-hop songs. Undoubtedly a large variety of arrangement or a bit "exaggerated" samples - such as an oriental-psychedelic "Armoire" - cause that the album seems to be a little clumsy, but overall is more than an hourly position that's worth its price. 3. His lyrics are on mixed level and he often need hunger's flow, but beats are definitely on point and so at least from this point of view he filled my expectations! Fair major debut. Expand
  4. There are very few times when such quality music is out at the same time, much like Big K.R.I.T's Live From The Underground, this debut is inspired and exceeds any expectation a rap fan could have amidst this dull climate of music. Buy both albums because effort is exhibited here unlike anywhere else this summer, until Kendrick Lamar drops his debut. 2012 will be known for rap's newest talent finally taking the forefront to bring the genre to new heights.
