  1. Highly likable most of the way through, the album merits praise for not prettying up Paul's dancehall sound, at a time when it must have been tempting to add some bling for the benefit of his large American following.

No matter how hard he smacks his drumsticks together, his third CD never ignites the five-alarm fires of previous hits. [7 Oct 2005, p.74]
  3. More dutty than rock, "Trinty" fully establishes Sean Paul as not only a dancehall great, but one of black music's brightest talents.
  4. Sean Paul is a gifted songbird, and on The Trinity his vocal gifts and Jamaica’s continued creative vitality are a surefire formula for thrilling music.
  5. Vibe

Sean Paul blasts off confidently into the future with The Trinity. [Nov 2005, p.147]

I'm of an older crowd and have not heard his earlier albums, but I LOVE Sean Paul's blend of pop and reggae in this album.
