An embarrasing attempt to mix modern and classic rock. Thematically appaling and rotten to the core.

(I lied about everything)".

If you can get by the borderline misogyny and outright bitterness, there are some hidden gems on this album. "Easy to Love You" and "What was I Thinking" are both really well written songs that have feeling, this displays that TOAD aren't just mindless jerks who hate women.

"We Were Men", "Out of My Head" and "Hurricane" and all excellent rock songs, comparing to many of their earlier easily recognizable songs. All in all if you are easily offended, this album isn't for you, but it is a fun listen, with some very good songs.

A Nickelback style rock album. To me it's got a little bit of a country twang to it. Some tracks on here like "Easy to Love You" and "What was I Thinking" are the generic rock songs it seems every rock band has on their albums at some point or another, but it's got it's own unique thing going to keep the majority of the album going.

With a lot of the material here being based of the lead singer's divorce, there's a very misogynistic tone throughout. While yes that definitely is offensive and mean, it's actually responsible for giving the album it's edge and more memorable songs. These are the tracks where the album rocks out the most. Which is both a good and bad thing.

The truth is... that this is a pretty good album. It's Nickelback-esque style and obvious anger at women means it's not for everyone, but those looking for a good rock album to listen to will find it here. It can be enjoyable even with it's flaws. It might not put Theory of a Deadman at the top of the rock pile, but it's still worth a listen for fans of this type of music. My total score for it is a 7.5/10.

Very catchy songs; lots of fun to listen, dance, and sing along to! The lyrics on many of the songs are rather misogynistic, but I don't really care because the songs are really fun to listen to anyway.

When I sat down to listen to this album, I was just MAD throughout. If anyone out there think this is a modern classic, then the person is probably someone who can't stand the sight of the female species- because they listen to this pile of vomit. I thought that Saliva's "Cinco Diablo" album had enough terrible things about it, but they are NOTHING compared to this malady of an album. This is almost as painful as Taylor Swift or Carly Rae Jepsen. Lyrics about hating women and cursing at them is just PUTRID. Morally PUTRID. This is FAR worse than Nickelback or Saliva. This is as misogynistic as it is depressing. I never want to hear of this album ever again, and I hope it rots in Hell with The Devil. PS- This album doesn't deserve a 35 on here. It deserves a lower rating than that Kevin Federline CD (that got a 15). For GOOD radio rock music, listen to Shinedown's "Amaryllis" or Seether's "Holding Onto Strings...". For GOOD rock music in general, pick up Deftones' "Koi No Yokan" or Edgewater's "South of Sideways". Avoid this album at all costs. Do not waste your money on this putrid, miserable trash! Expand

This album is amazing! It is very catchy rock music. It doesn't deserve bad reviews at all. It's got some of the best songs I've ever heard. The instruments are played well and Tyler is an outstanding vocalist!

Why this type of music still exists baffles me. The truth is that this music is offensive to ears, offensive to women and offensive to anyone that has a heart. Why does Nickelback get all the hate? Spread some to this band as well!

Contemptible, despicable, misogynistic, musical abortion, awful and just plain old crap. Words can't describe how awful this band, and this album is. Seriously, this band is so much worse than Nickelback. This album is harmful, harmful, harmful, harmful! In fact, giving this album a 0 out of 10 is still being too generous to this band, if only we could give negative grades. Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade and Effed Up will never redeem Canadian music if the country keeps releasing post-grunge crap like Theory of a Deadman. Expand

This isn't ugly visceral music; it's castrated rock with a rotten heart.
