this is really a "best of" his recent work album, definitely see him live if you have the chance, there's just something about the way he moves and tells stories that really wins your heart.

11 great Buck tracks, some re-makes, some brand new, and one outstanding Woody Guthrie cover. Album of the year? Maybe. A+ 10/10 *****. You know what I mean.

Easily some of the most inventive stuff I've heard in a long time. He also puts on a very engaging live show. Highly recommended.

  1. As an introduction to Buck's weird world of lovable losers, hugely endowed centaurs and insomniacs, Right Here is right on.
  2. Buck isn't a talented rapper, but he has a gift for expressive storytelling and evokes a range of emotions with his limited, mumbling vocals.
  3. Hone[s] his twangy, hip-hop Americana to pitchfork sharpness. [Jan 2005, p.114]
