This is songwriting with a stunning paint job, but with its training wheels still on. [Nov 2014, p.71]

In the Grace of Your Love was the sound of a forgotten band pleading for your interest and affection as if life itself depended on it. Time Is Over One Day Old may possess the same lineage as that record, but despite all of its attempts at being similarly organic, it couldn’t be colder or more distant.

A good sound can only support wobbly songs so far, and the middle third of the album sinks into a deadly lull that suggests the band only sporadically knows how to pull off slower tempos.

On Time Is Over One Day Old, any emotional extreme or attempted musical shift just ends up sounding like stasis.

Album closer You Don't Need the World sees them get closer to that sweet spot between avant garde and chart; but while it's strangely haunting, it only serves to show how uninspiring the rest of the album is.

However it's too much cold. In this kind of music is important to feel in the same way. You must believe all tones and all words that musicians send to you. But this tme I just don't get it. I just don't feel the same way and I just get through the all machine rhythms and all space echoes emotionless. Full Review »
