Blissfull, catchy pop-rock. Just bounce like a tween and feel the joy.

Catchy music, reminiscent of the mid 1970s California rock scene.

If you like catchy guitar power pop, this is your cd. Solid from start to finish.

Expertly played power pop played by power pop experts. Anyone who disses Taylor Hanson's voice out of some imagined notion of hipness, isn't really listening or really shouldn't comment because they don't understand powerpop. And hey, the most Big Star-like song on the album, "Nothing To Me" was written entirely by Taylor. So there.

No, the fact that Pitchfork wrote such a ridiculous review is what is almost tragic. I said almost, since no one cares and it's the listener's loss. If you love classic, fun, power pop, this is a must have. It shows the Jonas Brothers what the real thing is.

  1. It's all hook-riddled, fast, and ephemeral, and if you don't love it, your tie's too wide.
  2. Though the songs recall the Fountains' smart, well-crafted material, they lack that band's detailed lyrics (typical line: "All I really want to say/Is I need you every day"). But these likable tunes usually hit their modest marks.

Tinted Windows' debut is even less left-field; these hook-crammed power-pop jams are safe and bouncy enough for Jo Bros fans and Stacy's mom alike.
