PierreH.Mar 5, 20025The error I made was to hope that this soundtrack album was going to be about songs. It isn't. The self-titled song is great but you also have loads of derivative music which makes little sense without the actual movie.

StewartMay 16, 20028A little on the bleak side.. perhaps. I prefer moody or melancholic myself - which is exactly why Tindersticks continue to hit the mark. Not as easy listening as Nenette.. but as soundatracks go, relaxing and atmospheric. Soundtracks should float over you, not attempt to steal centre stage. If you want 'songs' buy a musical.

40An elegant soundtrack, but not much of an album. [Feb/Mar 2002, p.116]

This music is beautiful enough to stand alone.

40Many tracks are meaningless in isolation.[#184, p.146]
