great album. a new Direction on tunes like anti warhole which I think is great, but my favourite track has got to be Dr Dick , which I think in time will be seen as a classic. Other tracks tack me back to the sound of bummed like Cuntry disco.over all this album is much better and more creative in the new moves it makes than any of the new crop of bands who can only harp back to the great days of the strokes first LP. this is the album happy mondays fans have been waiting for since pills'n'thrills. to be honest i bought this expecting it to be rubbish, and instead found it filled with infectiosly catchy tunes which hark back to the mondays at their baggy best. well done lads.

  1. Please, please, please ignore this album. Uncle Dysfunktional is a wretched experience. Ryder bellows his way through it all, banging on about drugs and low-life in a voice that can barely muster a tune.
  2. This comeback effort is a huge amount of fun and a reminder that it's great that the Happy Mondays have never completely disappeared.
  3. Happy Mondays' first album since 1992's "...Yes Please!" is the sound of a damaged former addict being ushered into a studio for one last shot at the big time - before falling on his arse.
