Upright Behavior is Schatz's attempt go pack as much of this essence into one space as possible, and it comes on like a combination Chinese finger trap and bear hug.

As a whole, Upright Behavior is a lot to digest, and whether or not listeners will find enough incentive to spend time cracking Landlady's code depends purely on their appetite for this type of challenging indie rock.

At times, this system feels almost crutch-like, similar to the earlier albums of Dirty Projectors, and you might find yourself arriving to the second half of the album completely full.
