Terrible album by Trivium's standards. I've been a massive Trivium fan since the beginning, but this album may change that. Although i did stay a fan through the crusade, and they came out with amazing albums such as shogun and in waves, but this album is just that bad. For starters if you listened to the songs that came out before the album then, without the bonus tracks, you only get 6Terrible album by Trivium's standards. For starters if you listened to the songs that came out before the album then, without the bonus tracks, you only get 6 new songs, which isn't such a bad thing because i struggled to even get through them. David Draiman has ruined one of my favourite bands, some of the guitar tones, in fact the whole feel and sound of the album, is mechanical and matts singing is just weird throwing odd Metallica like yells in that he has never done. Also sounds like they have layered Matts voice about 50 times on each chorus, and Corey's screaming lessons where pointless because there is almost no screaming on this album. Worst thing, by far, i have ever heard trivium produce. Expand

An album that proves that Trivium have much life in them yet. [12 Oct 2013, p.51]

While there's nothing here that will alienate fans or frighten the horses, there's no denying the power of songs like the crashing "Brave This Storm" or the rattling "Strife." [Nov 2013, p.93]

Though perhaps overly mechanical, Vengeance Falls remains compelling and staggeringly textured.
