-
JorgeMar 13, 200810The best album of this year, and the best tribute to the 60's & 70's rock and roll & blues.

DanA.Mar 14, 20089Thick and bluesy. Sounded like Southren Musical Harmony part two. The Crowes are back!

DavidB.Mar 17, 20089This release finds the Crowes soul searching and inviting us to. come with them. Though this release doesn't slam you over the head as some of their past albums, you cant help but eagerly join them in their journey while singing along.

NickD.Mar 21, 200810It's good to have them back. The irony is that they sound the same as always, but because they are so completely different than any music being made right now their sound is refreshing.

ChadR.Mar 6, 200810This album is their most mature work yet. If this is the direction Crowes are headed...I like it!

BrantM.Mar 11, 20089Excellent album. What a comback. THe band ,always excellent, continues to evolve and get better.

DamianMar 14, 20081What a bore. There was nothing that close to what 10 gallons offered. Maxim's "educational guess" was just that and was very much prophet-like.

JackS.Mar 20, 200810The Crowes reach deep into themselves and American (and Amorican) tradition to make an original album of great rock and roll.

MantupE.Mar 13, 20088Very sold...love the addition of dickinson's slide guitar. Chris robinson sounds the same as he ever has. A couple of filler songs that are ok, but also easily forgettable keep it from being an entirely great album.

AlejandroC.Mar 25, 20087Long time Crowes fan, this album is fantastic on 1st listens but fades with time I feel I am more interested in older material, still.

They're old-fashioned, but in the best sense: they're in it for the long haul, which the superb Warpaint proves beyond a shadow of a doubt.
-
80Warpaint mines the same Allmans-to-Zappa synthesis of influences that's been the Crowes' stock in trade but finds the group fortified by sharp songwriting and lace-tight, live-sounding performances.
-
A much-matured (now fortysomething father) Chris ?nds peace and clarity through some of his ?nest, most poetic storytelling to date.
