    They've created a finely honed album that hints at a multitude of influences but because they are ploughing their own furrow they're in debt to none of them.

    On occasion, it's a little too Wilsonian but such is the quality of We'll Be the Moon that it can be forgiven as a knowing nod rather than craven cribbing.

    Not terribly experimental then, nor especially genre-hopping, but let's not be sniffy; it's a very likeable cosmic pop record.

    We'll Be the Moon doesn't always hit the mark, but it's an encouraging first offering proving that Fixers can walk the walk as well as they talk the talk.

    The only problem is they always just come up short when trying to make their own version of FTP's 'Pumped Up Kicks'.
