I hear Wheel slightly differently every time I listen to it, but what stays the same is the overarching feeling that there is some ungraspable quality to it, something indefinable in the way these songs come together, as if multiple worlds are eclipsing each other while remaining individually visible.

Stevenson and her band have been improving in every aspect since their inception, and they've nailed it here on Wheel.

Her stunning brand of Americana pop translates the 21st century breakdown into something worrying and sweetly touching.

Lovely and heartfelt, Wheel is an introspective delight. [May 2013m, p.90]

Thematically, the album is rich and varied, but there is a slight inability to maintain a through-line musically that can prove to be jarring on occasion.
