Everything is made with great effort, the tracks can easely stand alone. It's good work, but compaired to their previous album Skeleton it lags the spontainious and catchy tunes.

This album's being unfairly trashed. It may be different than the last two Figurines albums, but its beautiful in its simplicity and still very very catchy. Det er en rigtig godt CD.

  1. When the Deer Wore Blue feels like a safe record. As they play this record too close to the chest songs blend together, needless repetition pervades, and most of the record's latter half is undistinguished.
  2. It's more tripped-out and druggy, a looser version of the songwriting that gave Skeleton its immediate punch.
  3. Unless you're a diehard retro-rock fan, you might want to leave this figurine in its natural environment: on the shelf.
