  1. With a Cape and a Cane sounds almost nothing like its predecessor; the songs ring a million times clearer and the hooks bite far harder.

The Joggers' asymmetrical riffage and labyrinthine phrasing sometimes achieve moments of epic indie-rock grandeur. [14 Oct 2005, p.152]
  3. With a Cape and a Cane sounds merely like a solid indie rock record on a passing listen; give it a few more spins and you will be rewarded.
  4. Under The Radar

    Quite a piece of work. [#11, p.115]
  5. The Joggers’ struggle against depression yields song after song of emotionally rending rock 'n roll, and the album tells the gritty tale of their fight against this epic beast.
