  1. With a Cape and a Cane sounds almost nothing like its predecessor; the songs ring a million times clearer and the hooks bite far harder.

The Joggers' asymmetrical riffage and labyrinthine phrasing sometimes achieve moments of epic indie-rock grandeur. [14 Oct 2005, p.152]
  3. Under The Radar

    Quite a piece of work. [#11, p.115]
  4. With a Cape and a Cane sounds merely like a solid indie rock record on a passing listen; give it a few more spins and you will be rewarded.
  5. The Joggers’ struggle against depression yields song after song of emotionally rending rock 'n roll, and the album tells the gritty tale of their fight against this epic beast.
