  • Summary: This is the third album for the New York-based duo of Joshua Klein and Hewson Chen, who are frequently compared to (and sound like) Stephin Merritt bands (Magnetic Fields, Future Bible Heroes) and 80s outfits such as OMD. Included here is a cover of Husker Du's "Green Eyes."

  1. An extremely beautiful and captivating slice of electro-pop.

With its innocently poignant synth melodies and fragile guitar arpeggios, You Win Again Gravity is redolent of the flashes of true beauty that the style's original practitioners sought back in the glory days. [Dec 2002, p.151]
  3. There's very little variance in tempo or tone from track to track, the shadings almost imperceptible to the casual ear. At times You Win Again, Gravity! seems more a study in monochrome than an album in full living Technicolor.

The music is pure emotion and Hewson Chen is, for sure, the best singer around here .
