Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 12 out of 14
  2. Negative: 0 out of 14
  1. This is a wonderful, intoxicatingly special album that deserves to be cherished, and played and played.
  2. You, You're a History in Rust is nothing short of an experience; emotional enough to take the listener on a journey, and subtle enough so that not a moment of the record feels contrived.
  3. 60
Overall... the mood remains one of pleasant inconsequence. [Apr 2007, p.94]

Some of the band's best work, lots of intricacy and subtlety that mustn't be missed! This will be in the top five of the year for me for sure. They're a very fun band to see live too so if you get a chance, GO! Expand

any one of 5 of 8 tracks on this album would have made a lesser bands career. these songs achieve coherance like thoughts amongst conjoined siblings who love each other. in other words, forking awesome! Expand

5.5 - If this was my first album to hear of DMST I would have no interest in seeking out anything else. I would put them down as lacking talent in the melody department. Each album up to now was better than the last. This is the first step backwards. It is simply lacking good melodies. There are some nice crisp guitar sounds on a couple of tracks, but the brass and strings are so muted that they are practically irrelevant. Obviously they were trying to do something different than "Winter Hymn" and that is to be applauded but there is very little here that makes excites me like their previous stuff. I have listened to this album 5 times. Expand
