His father, William Raymond, aka, Billy Ray was a basketball coach and a high school history teacher. His mother, Virginia Roberta, was an alleged psychic. He has three younger brothers, James Donald, aka, Jimmy Don (1958)and now deceased, James (Jim) Bean, and John David, born in 1969. He also has three sons and two daughters, one of his sons was adopted.
