Blake made his Broadway debut in the Arthur Miller play "The Man Who Had All The Luck" directed by Scott Ellis, staring Chris O'Donnell and Samantha Mathis.
His first Equity play "Eastern Standard" at the Nora Theater in Boston was Named "Best of Boston" by critic Arthur Freidman of The Boston Herald, and his performance was singled out as "Blue-Chip" by the Boston Globe.
Received the highest possible scholarship money (at the time) to study acting at the famed American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Also, upon graduating he was selected as one of 20 for the Academy company-from over 140 students.
His role as Dave Brass on Oz was originally intended to be a two or three episode guest appearance.
