Candace Bushnell

Biography: Candace Bushnell has been empowering single woman all over since 1994, the debut of her column in the New York Observer entitled Sex and the City. In 1997, Candace published a compilation of the columns in a book entitled Sex and the City. And in 1998, a show on HBO starring Sarah Jessica Parker debuted based on Candace's column and book, entitled, once again, Sex and the City. In May 2008, Candace's characters once again faced a reincarnation into a feature-length movie entitled Sex and the City: The Movie. A sequel is expected in production. Candace has published several more celebrated books focused on the "chick-lit" genre. Candace worked for two seasons as Executive Producer for the television program based on her 2005 novel of the same title, Lipstick Jungle.
