Christopher Egan

Biography: Christopher (Chris) Egan was born on the 29th June 1984. He is best known for his role in the popular Australian soap, Home and Away. He attended High School at the prestigious McDonald College School of Performing Arts until he landed the part of Hayley & Will's younger brother, Nick Smith. Another actor had already appeared in this very role in a short guest stint but Chris was immediately accepted by cast and fans alike. Chris obtained a large fan base over the three years he appeared on Home & Away garnering countless of awards & award nominations including being nominated for the TV Week Logie award for 'Most Popular New Talent' in 2000, winning Dolly magazine's Prince of TV Award (2001), and he held Big Hit Magazine's 'Babe of the Year' (male) title. Not to say many young girls were distressed when he left the show in 2003, moving on to bigger and better things. Chris moved to LA soon after he finished the show and it was not long before he scored a main role in Greg Berlanti's The Prince (a Gossip Girl ahead of it's time). Unfortunately for us and Chris, the pilot was not picked up. Soon after this he was cast as Agrippa in the ABC miniseries, Empire. Through this he made friends with co-star Trudie (wife of Sting), who cast him in her film, Alpha Male.

Not long after Alpha Male he scored a major role in Virgin Territory alongside the well known Mischa Barton & Hayden Christensen. And soon after came the part of Roran in the blockbuster Eragon, the small role of Mickey in Resident Evil: Extinction, and the starring role in Crush, due for release late 2009.

More recently he's returned to the small screen. He appeared in a mere few episodes prior to the finale of Berlanti's cult favorite Everwood. He then scored a full-time role as Ben in Fox's short-lived series, Vanished. He was cast in pilot for Ryan Murphy's Pretty/Handsome which has not been picked up, and his most major role to date shall be airing shortly - he'll be playing the core character of David alongside Ian McShane in NBC's much hyped, Kings.
