Hmmm... a little bit about me... let me see... well, I'm a singer/songwriter. I was born in Seaford, Delaware, and raised in Orlando, Florida, began taking dance lessons at the age of three, and by five was appearing in shows around the Central Florida area.
At age seven I landed a role in a local production of Oliver, playing one of the street thieves, and then appeared as Princess Yingyowlak in The King and I.
I made my first television appearance the next year, dancing in the Disney Channel special, Sebastian's Caribbean Jamboree.
From there moved on to spend two years with the Orlando Opera Company, performing in productions such as The Queen of Spades and Othello as both a singer and dancer.
I am especially thankful for the two summers I spent at the Broadway Theatre Project, a summer program, where I was able to study with such legendary performers as Gwen Verdon, Gregory Hines, and Anne Reinking.
I starred as Camille in the new Nickelodeon series, Noah Knows Best. In the show, I played the self-absorbed best friend of Noah's sister, Megan. Always the instigator, Camille goes through life believing everyone's business is her business. I really enjoyed playing Camille because she is a funny character who is a lot like me - not in the self-absorbed way, but happy and fun! The show premiered in the US, and continues to air around the world now on stations like NickUK and YTV in Canada. So you gotta watch, kay?
I continue to pursue my love of music. I have recorded a 5 song demo album. It's amazing to be able to connect with people in a more personal way, by sharing intimate emotions through the music. Because I've been dancing forever, I also put together a demo music video. I would love to be a recording artist, just for the simple fact that I'll have so many opportunities to perform live, which is my first love. You should go check out some of my audio clips and give me some feed back on what you think. My immediate goal is to catch the attention of a record label.
Some of you also may have also seen me on the "Making the Band" TV show; in People, Popstar!, Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, Teen Celebrity, Total Access, Backstage Pass & other magazines; and perform live at the House of Blues, Universal Studio's City Walk at The Groove, on the Readers' Digest QSP Tour and as a headliner on a mall tour for Seventeen Magazine, performing my shows in major cities across the U.S. for fans.
I continue to accept film, television and commercial roles to further hone my performance skills. Most recently, I taped commercials for Truth - the anti-tobacco campaign targeted to young people. The music-oriented spots aired during the 2001 Blockbuster Awards and continues to show on a number of network and cable channels, as well as in major theater chains throughout the United States. Acting is really fun for me and I like being able to take on a variety of characters.
I am currently a junior at a state university where I have pledged to a sorority. Besides acting, singing, and dancing, I totally enjoy gymnastics, wakeboarding, bicycling, rollerblading, horseback-riding, swimming, shopping (for shoes especially), movies, and hanging out with friends.
I would also like to tell everyone that I am very proud of myself because I have now learned to drive a stick shift! (No easy task might I add.)
If I could give the world one piece of advice it would be to always be nice to everyone... no matter what. In the end you will be the better person... I promise!… Expand
