Known to television fans as Richard Cypher on the fantasy adventure series Legend of the Seeker, Craig Horner has steadily matured from an Australian teen idol into a seasoned actor rising to international fame. Like his character on the series, Craig has constantly developed his skills in order for him to fulfill his destiny -- in this case, to entertain TV and film audiences worldwide. A native of Brisbane, Queensland, Horner as an imaginative kid would run through their house with a stick and do swordplay. Craig attended St. Peters Lutheran College in Brisbane, Australia while pursuing his passion for acting, which was fueled after he performed in school productions of The Maids and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
He then moved to Sydney and was involved in several Australian television and film productions including a starring role in Cybergirl (2001) and the comedy-drama Blurred (2002) and a supporting role in the sports biopic Swimming Upstream, where he played the brother of Australian swimmer Tony Fingleton (Jesse Spencer). In 2006, he portrayed the recurring character of Caleb in the primetime romantic telenovela Monarch Cove and played Richie Benson, a teen tortured to death by a psychopath killer in the suspense thriller See No Evil.
Horner would then appear as Ash in several episodes of the teen fantasy series H20: Just Add Water before joining the cast of the hit Australian teen drama Blue Water High in Series Three, where he was known to many female fans as the often-shirtless surfer Garry Miller. In 2008, he landed his first-ever US television project as he was called upon to play the Seeker of the Truth, Richard Cypher in Legend of the Seeker, a syndicated TV series adaptation of the Terry Goodkind fantasy novels. In the show, Craig stars opposite American actress Bridget Regan, who plays the Confessor, Kahlan Amnell, tasked to protect him throughout his quest.… Expand
