Craig was born in Liverpool in 1971. From the age of 19, upon leaving compulsory education, he became a labourer for Wrekin construction. Whilst working here he attended a bricklaying course at Wellington Trent College. After twelve months he left college with a City & Guilds qualification in brickwork. Then going onto setting up his own building company. At the age of 27, Craig was employing 30 tradesmen and his company had a million pound a year turnover.
The first British series of Big Brother aired in 2000, of which Craig was a participant. He went onto winning the show, and donated his £70,000 winnings to his best friends niece, Joanne Harris for a heart and lung transplant. In 2001, the BBC spotted Craig's building talents and he was soon appearing on our screens again on various DIY shows as an expert. He has since produced and presented many of his own shows, from various country's around the world including Spain, France, Bosnia, Canada and Germany.
