David Threlfall

Biography: Best known for his role as Frank Gallagher in Shameless David Threlfall was first introduced to the world of drama at school, where he was encouraged to play John Proctor in a school production of The Crucible.

Having caught the acting bug David went on to join the Manchester Youth Theatre and then Manchester Polytechnic School of Drama, after dropping out of art college after only a year.

David's first on-screen debut was in the 1977 film Scum and he's since gone on to star in show's such as The Queen's Sister, Conspiracy and Cutting It.
