Biography: Deborah Ann Gibson was born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 31, 1970, to Joseph and Diane Gibson. She has three sisters. She became known to the world at large at the age of 16 with the release of her single “Only in My Dreams.” Her album Out of the Blue was soon to follow. While her popularity has waned since these early years, she has continued to perform and has released several albums since, including Anything is Possible (1990), Body Mind Soul (1993), Think with your Heart (1995), Deborah (1997), M.Y.O.B. (2001), and Colored Lights (2003).

Deborah has also branched out into theater, having memorable runs in musicals such as Les Miserables, Grease, Funny Girl, Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cinderella, Chicago, and Cabaret. She is also the lyricist and composer on a couple of pre-production musicals, Skirts and The Flunky.

In March 2005 Deborah posed for Playboy after years of stating that she never would. This action unfortunately alienated some of her fans.
Deborah also works with numerous charities, mostly for children and AIDS, using her fame to help others.

Even though she has yet to reach the success she had back in the late 1980s, she has constantly worked and has remained in the public eye.
