Debra DiGiovanni

Biography: Living in Toronto with Italian origins, Debra DiGiovanni has blossomed into one of Canada's favorite female comediennes. She started out performing at several comedy clubs in Toronto, including The Laugh Resort and Yuk Yuk's, and then progressed to headlining shows, including the Just For Laughs and Eyes on Toronto comedy festivals. In 2003, NOW! magazine named her headlining show the third best of the year. Debra taped her immensely popular Comedy Now! special in 2004. She has won several comedy awards including Best Female Comedian at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards and was 2002's Best New Stand-Up Comic.
Since 2005, she has been a huge part of MuchMusic's Video On Trail and has the second-most appearances following fellow comedian co-star Trevor Boris. She was a presenter at the 2006 MuchMusic Video Awards. Debra can also be heard on CBC Radio One's "Bleep" in Canada.
In 2007, Debra appeared in the fifth season of NBC's Last Comic Standing and made it to the top 10.
