Depeche Mode

Biography: Formed in 1976 in Basildson, England UK. The band was formed by Andy, Martin and Vince. Dave was brought in later. After the release of their first album Speak and Spell, Vince left the band. Alan Wilder was brought in to fill the void. They scored big in the 80's and 90's with such hits like "Just Can't Get Enough," "Black Celebration," "People Are People," "Personal Jesus," "Enjoy the Silence", etc. In 1995, Alan left the band to form Recoil. That same year, Dave was battling heroin and almost overdosed in a L.A. hotel room. He recovered and is now clean. He and the rest of the band Released Ultra in 1997 and Exiter in 2001. Since then Dave and Martin have released solo albums. First for Dave, second Martin. Andy has started his own record label, Toast Hawaii.
