Biography: Dexter was born in London in 1966, one of three bothers. He made his debut movie performance aged 10 in Bugsy Malone as Baby Face. His first real lead role was in The Rachel Papers where he played a young man trying to lose his virginity. His most well known and loved performance was as Spike in Press Gang. He played opposite Julia Sawalha who was also his on-screen love as well as off-screen love at the time. He can currently be seen in the BBC1 drama Hotel Babylon where he plays concierge Tony Casemore and also has a role in the film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Stardust which is due for release in 2007.
