Edward Herrmann

Biography: Edward Herrmann was born in Washington, D.C., on July 21, 1943. He has been acting for more than thirty years. Throughout his career Herrmann has performed on Broadway, in feature films, on television, and has recorded over fifty books on tape, including The King James Bible. He has appeared on M*A*S*H, St. Elsewhere, Law and Order, and The Practice.
Herrmann was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in The Philadelphia Story and won a Tony Award for his performance in Mrs. Warren's Profession. He won an Emmy award for his six episode story arc on The Practice. He has three previous Emmy nominations for St. Elsewhere, and the television movies Concealed Enemies and Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years (he played Franklin D. Roosevelt).
Herrmann is a busy actor. In addition to playing Richard Gilmore, he is currently a narrator on The History Channel and is working on three movies. He is also performing in a play at the Lincoln Center and working with Al
