Fiona Hutchison

Biography: Fiona was born to English parents in Miami, Florida, and raised in Jamaica, West Indies, and Columbia, South Carolina. She is a classically trained ballerina who began dance lessons at age four. She received a scholarship to The School of American Ballet in New York City before joining the American Ballet Theatre to perform professionally, training extensively with Natalia Makarova and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

When a serious injury forced Fiona to stop dancing, she began modeling and acting. She made her acting debut in the television movie "Mirrors," went on to receive an Emmy nomination for the role of Jenna Bradshaw on the Daytime drama "Guiding Light," and also played Celia Frasier on "As the World Turns." She has appeared in several films, including "Biggles," "American Gothic," "Rage," "Something To Believe In," and the independent film "Prey of The Jaguar." She has performed frequently with The New English Stage Company and was featured in the off-Broadway productions of Noel Coward's "Private Lives" and "Terra Nova." She co-starred with Tatum O'Neal in "A Terrible Beauty," "Naked From The Waist Down," and also starred in the play "An Ideal Husband."

In 2000 Fiona hosted the cable talk show "Tea with Fi" for the Romance Classics Network. She also writes a column, "Tea with Fiona," for Upbeat Entertainment News Online, and is the Executive Vice President of Development for Nite Owl Productions, Ltd.

Fiona resides in New York City with her husband and their two young sons, John "Hutch" Viscardi, Jr., who was born on September 3, 1996 and Trevor Viscardi, who was born on May 3, 1998.

Fiona Hutchison reprised her role as fan favorite Gabrielle Medina in May 2001, on "One Life to Live" after previously playing the part from 1987-91. "Gabrielle" was killed off in 2004.
