Frank Marshall

Biography: Frank Marshall is a filmmaker and motion picture producer from Glendale, California, who is best known his collaborations with Oscar-wining director Steven Spielberg. Born in 1946, Marshall graduated from the University of California in Los Angeles in the late 60s. He met director Peter Bogdanovich soon after, and he began collaborating on the 1971 film, Targets, also appearing in a small role in the motion picture. In 1973, Marshall was the associate producer of the box-office hit Paper Moon, and three years later, he got his first feature film production job, working on the Bogdanovich comedy, Nickelodeon. Marshall married Kathleen Kennedy in the late 70s, and became a partner in Amblin Entertainment, a company that included his wife and Steven Spielberg. His first blockbuster film came one year later after producing, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
