Holly Hunter

Biography: This gorgeous actress started her career in numerous New York City plays after she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1980. After a couple years she moved to Los Angeles where she landed the starring role in Raising Arizona. Her career took off from there with roles in End of the Line, Broadcast News, and Miss Firecracker all released within the next two years.

In the early to mid '90s Holly began landing roles that she is probably most popular for. She starred as Ada McGrath in The Piano and Tammy Hemphill in The Firm. In 2003, she also appeared as Melanie Freeland in the critically acclaimed movie, Thirteen.

Throughout her career Holly has earned four Oscar nominations, winning Best Actress for The Piano. She was nominated for Best Actress in Broadcast News and Best Supporting Actress in The Firm and Thirteen. Holly also won two Emmy awards.
