Biography: One of the most famous movie celebrities in the world, Jackie Chan was born to a poor family in China on April 7, 1954. After he was born, his parents thought about giving him up for adoption since they could not afford the hospital bill. His parents eventually kept him and worked hard to raise him in Hong Kong and in Australia when they relocated. When he turned seven, he was enrolled in China Drama Academy and studied there for ten years. Their strict ways and the education they provided helped Jackie Chan become one of the great action stars the entertainment world has seen.

In 2008, Chan appeared opposite Jet Li in The Forbidden Kingdom and voiced for the movie Kung Fu Panda.
