Jerry Bruckheimer

Biography: Born in 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, the only child of German immigrants, Jerry Bruckheimer has become one of the most prolific producers in television and movie entertainment. After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1967, he worked in advertising before deciding on a degree in entertainment.

Jerry then moved to Los Angeles where he began a career in films. His first credit as a producer was on Farewell, My Lovely in 1975. He then teamed with Don Simpson and together they produced some of the highest grossing movies during the 1980s.

He formed Jerry Bruckheimer Films in 1996, which produced blockbuster hits Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, Remember the Titans, Glory Road, King Arthur, and the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
