Jill Larson

Biography: Jill Larson took over the role of Opal Gardner Purdy Cortlandt in 1989, a role originally played by Dorothy Lyman (who, by the way, went to the same high school as Jill, in Minnesota).

Jill is a graduate of Hunter College. She lived in Paris for a time, making her living as a model and actress, appearing in such films as Deadly Trap, and Chere Louise. She has appeared on Broadway, sung in nightclubs, and performed on television. She was on As the World Turns and One Life to Life before joining the cast of All My Children. She has twice been nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award (Outstanding Supporting Actress) in 1991 and 1993. Jill is the proud mother of Anni-Ming, a beautiful girl she traveled to China to adopt in 1996.
