Biography:
John Hawkes was born John Perkins in 1959 in Minnesota. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minnesota in 1977. He moved to Austin, Texas to begin his acting career after graduation.
He co-founded the Big State Productions theater company. John starred in the national touring company production of "Greater Tuna" touring Chicago, San francisco and Los Angeles.
He has also wrote and performed a critically acclaimed play called "Nimrod Soul".
In addiction to acting he also writes, records, and plays music with his bands, Gangster Folk and King Straggler. King Straggler's websites are www.kingstraggler.com and www.myspace.com/kingstraggler .
