Ken Jenkins

Biography: Ken Jenkins has been acting for the vast majority of his life. He began acting in various high school theatre productions in Dayton, where he was born and raised. Jenkins studied acting at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, not far from his home town. Whilst studying at Antioch, Jenkins also appeared on Broadway as well as in productions with several regional companies. In 1969, he co-founded the Actor's Theatre of Louisville and served as the Associate Artistic Director for three years. This institution has produced some of America's best budding playwrights such as Beth Henley and Marsha Norman.

Throughout the duration of his career, Ken Jenkins has been involved in numerous plays in a variety of roles including actor, director and playwright. He has, on average, been involved in approximately 10 plays a year over the course of his 30 year career. Jenkins' has made many television appearances since his debut in 1974. He co-starred on 'Homefront' for two seasons as

He has performed in several television movies, as well, including 'Thirst', 'Hiroshima' and 'And the Band Played On'. He is most famous for his role on the hit TV show, Scrubs, where he plays Sacred Heart's Chief of Medicine, Dr. Robert "Bob" Kelso.

On January 1st, 1970, Ken Jenkins married Katharine Houghton, niece of famous American actress, Katharine Hepburn.
