Laurie Hutzler

Biography: Laurie Hutzler has adapted numerous short stories for television and film. Her plays have been produced in regional theaters around the United States and have been featured in two award-winning Lincoln Center programs in New York City. Laurie's screenplay, Lorraine Loses It, is currently in development by Project Equinox in New York.
Since 1998, Laurie has taught screenwriting in the Master of Fine Arts Program at the UCLA Film School. She has taught Master Classes for the Royal Literary Fund in Cambridge, England; Middlesex University, in North London, England; Royal Holloway College, University of London, in London, England: at the Sorbonne, in Paris, France; and for Equinoxe, the European script development program, in Marrakech, Morocco.
Laurie lives and works in Santa Monica, CA with her husband, Jim Charne, a lawyer in the interactive entertainment field. She has an active consulting practice helping executives from international film finance funds, production
