Biography: Lonetta McKee was born in 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. She began her career in the music industry in Detroit, as a child prodigy, where she began writing music, singing and playing piano and performing professionally at the age of seven. At the age of fourteen she recorded her first record, which became a fast regional Pop and R&B hit. Her first film role was in the film Sparkle in 1976 as the drug addicted Supreme’s like lead singer. Her father is of African-American and Her mother is of European decent.
