Biography: The youngest child of Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson (whom she grew to resemble greatly), Lynn Redgrave was also the sister of Vanessa and Corin Redgrave. She seemed to regard herself as the least glamorous member of the family, but talent more than made up for that. She took very little time to establish herself as an actress, making her first film before she was 20 ("Tom Jones") and becoming an international star three years later in "Georgy Girl", a big hit which earned her an Oscar nomination. Her second Oscar nomination, over thirty years later, was for "Gods And Monsters". In between, she starred in many stage successes, a few TV series and an acclaimed one-woman show. She had many tribulations in her personal life, but seemed to rise above all of them. Her death from breast cancer, less than three weeks after attending the funeral of her brother Corin, was the occasion of international mourning.
