Biography: Marcia Gay Harden was born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla, California. She is the middle child of five. They moved around a lot when she was growing up because her father was in the military. While living in Greece Marcia enjoyed attending plays in Athens. Marcia attended college in both Europe and the US before finishing her degree at the University of Texas in 1983. In 1996 Maria married Thaddeus Scheel and has 3 children. Thaddeus and Marcia worked together on The Spitfire Grill. Marcia won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Pollock. Marcia just signed on to play Cheryl on ABC's drama pilot Drift. Her character is a therapist.
