Mark Lutz

Biography: Mark Douglas Lutz was born February 14th, 1970, in Montréal, Québec. As a child, Mark spend a lot of time swimming with the Pointe Claire Swim Club. At 13, Mark moved to Hong Kong, living there for five years, before moving back to Canada. In Toronto, Mark finished his high school education. Mark went to the University of Guelph and graduated with an Honors BA in Political Science. During his stay at University, Mark swam competitvely, until he blew out his shoulder in the early 20s. Mark's aspirations of swimming in the Olympics were over, so he turned to his ambition of acting as a full-time career. Mark began in improv comedy, developed a following, and was signed by an agent to start work on film and television. Mark's big break in 1998 as Finnish hockey talent Jukka Branny-Acke in the tv series 'Power Play' is probably his most well-known role. In early 2001, Mark moved to Los Angeles, and was immediately cast for a recurring character on the TV series 'Angel.' Although Mark played in many movies and series, he is probably best known for his role of the Groosalugg on the series Angel.

Mark is currently working on a TV film about swimmer Victor Davis.
