Mark Strickson

Biography: Mark was born in 1961 in Stratford-Upon-Avon in the UK, but was brought up in Ilmington.

As his father was a professional musician, Mark learned to play several instruments, and even sang in the Trinity Church Choir.

He studied Drama at RADA in London, and his first job was travelling up and down the UK on a narrow boat as part of the Mikron Theatre Company. Faced with the choice of a part in Angels or Doctor Who, Mark chose to play Turlough, a companion to Peter Davison's Doctor.

Set up his own theatre company called Raw Deal.

Since leaving Doctor Who, he retrained in Zoology and moved to Australia.

He currently produces wildlife documentaries, and was responsible for bringing Australian Steve Irwin into the public eye.

Mark parted from his first wife, Julie Brennon, amicably and is now married to Delmey Brittain.
