Bloom played football for the University of Pittsburgh 1990-1994, and then trained as a wrestler with Killer Kowalski. He started his wrestling career on the independant circuit as "The Mongolian", and was picked up by WWF scouts. They offered a him a contract, and he became "Baldo" for Pro Wrestling in Memphis.
He made his WWF TV debut in the summer of 1999 as "Prince Albert" on "Saturday Night Heat". His regular tag-team partner (and personal friend) was Darren "Droz" Drosdov. Droz suffered an injury which ended his career later that year.
Bloom next teamed up (then feuded with) the Big Boss man. Subsequently known as "Albert", he joined Test to create the tag team "T&A". Next, he was part of "X-Factor" with Justin Credible and X-Pac, and then teamed with Scotty 2 Hotty.
