As a child, Morgan's parents refused to let her watch television, so she made up for lost hours of television time by playing video games. She began with Atari, and began by beoming an expert in Combat, as technology progressed, The Legend of Zelda and Phantasy Star became two of her favorite games.

Morgan graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1996, with Highly Gifted Magnet honors. After graduating high school, she left home to attend UC Berkeley. While there, she earned a bachelor's degree in rhetoric and a minor in Italian.

After graduating college, Morgan began working for a dot-com company as a website administrator. After the company went under during the dot-com bubble burst of 2000, she became employed at TechTV in 2001 as an associate producer of The Screen Savers. Thanks to her extremely vast self-taught knowledge of computers and technology, she was quickly promoted to an on-screen member of the program where she presented daily in-depth segments dealing with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, and on select occasions hosted the show herself. In May 2003, Morgan left The Screen Savers to co-host X-Play with Adam Sessler. While she still hosts the show, she has also worked on podcasts on G4 as well as her own called Webb Alert.
